Welcome to the Council of Europe’s web site of the Equality in Diversity group, LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual) group. The Equality in Diversity group was created in 2004 by several gay Council of Europe’s agents and includes today more than 40 agents and diplomats.

European Court condemns France over gay adoption
Strasbourg - 22 January 2008 - The European Court of Human Rights has ruled that France discriminated against a lesbian woman by preventing her from adopting a child.
