The Council of Europe and Homosexual Visibility week in Strasbourg
[12/06/06 15:00:00] For the second year, the Council of Europe is taking part in Homosexual Visibility Week in Strasbourg: colleagues will be present at the ''Village associatif'' on Saturday 17 June, from 12 noon, where the Council of Europe will have its own stand. In addition, the Organisation's LGBT group (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and heterosexual) will officially participate in the Visibility Pride from 2 pm (Place de l’Université).
Eurimages film club: ''Hammam'' by Ferzan Özpetek
[14/06/06 09:30:00] As part of Homosexual Visibility Week, the Eurimages film club will be presenting 'Hamam', directed by Ferzan Özpetek. This Italian-Turkish-Spanish co-production tells the story of Francesco, who inherits a Turkish bath in Istanbul and decides to restore it. When Marta, Francesco's wife of several years, joins him to ask for a divorce, she discovers that her husband is having an affair with a young man. The film will be shown on Friday 16 June in the projection room of the Palais, in the original Italian version, with subtitles in French (length 94 minutes).
