Equality in diversity, aims of the group
This group of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and heterosexual colleagues has existed informally for two years or more, and in recent months has become more structured. Its members have decided to raise the visibility of the group, in order to pursue its aims more effectively.
Aims :
- To offer a forum for solidarity and reflection on the situation of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people at the Council of Europe, our rights, responsibilities, the specific problems that we might face, and the collective action we might undertake to address such problems.
- To support and promote equality, diversity, removal of discriminatory differences in treatment, and mutual understanding in the work place, as well as outside.
- To offer a friendly and inclusive social space with regular dinners, activities and events, open to all staff and their partners.
